I understand that Windows and the built-in Windows Applications are programmed using C++. But I want to know more about what other languages they use, what IDE they work on (is it any specialized version of Microsoft’s Visual Studio?) In short, I want to know how Windows itself was made. And how was its individual components made as well.
And whatever development tools they used, where can I get it or learn it? I am very curious to find out so I’d appreciate if someone (preferably an experienced person in programming and software development) who has the answer may tell me or simply point me to an answer resource.
