The January extended Wini adware and produced a new modification of so called multi-rogue, a simultaneous creation and distribution of several dozens of clones that actually represented one and same adware under different names.
Thus, two families were blooming during January 2010. Besides, single releases of fake antispyware occurred as well and several other families kept growing, though not so promptly as the two families above.
The two booming families of fake system utilities are listed below:
- Wini Adware has ceased to develop now; the last release in this family of counterfeits was detected at the beginning of autumn 2010.
